Summary of Essential Duties:
- Working under indirect supervisors and responsible for delivering, pick-up, stocking, and cleaning of equipment, in preparation of patient care use.
- Following proper cleaning protocol per the manufacturer’s instructions for use for medical equipment in preparation for patient care use. Medical equipment may include the following; Air Flow, Alaris EtCO2, Alaris Module, Alaris PCA, Alaris Pump, Alaris Syringe Module, Bair Hugger, Epidural Pump, Feeing Pump, Foot Pump, Hepa Filter, Hypo-Hyperthermia, Medela Thopaz, PAPR Helmets, Portable Suction, SCD Machines, Temperature Pump, Wall Suction(s), and Wound Vacs.
- Routine Pick Up of all equipment from soiled utility rooms across the Medical Center campus to be brought to decontamination area for proper cleaning, sterilization, and stocking to cleaned equipment area.
- Routine stocking of equipment to areas where par levels have been set for specific areas and units.
- Assist in any ad hoc requests from Supervisors regarding hospital equipment.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
- 2 years of hospital or inventory related experience with supplies or medical equipment preferred
- Ability to use software applications and operation technological devices (e.g. email, timekeeping, Microsoft office and other applications, computer, laptop, tablet, pager, smartphone, etc.)
